Sarah Litman Rendell

Sarah Litman Rendell, PhD, MAT, is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at The Southfield Center for Development in Darien, Connecticut. In this capacity, Dr. Rendell is treating children, adolescents and parents in both group and individual therapy, as well as conducting psychoeducational testing. Dr. Rendell completed her predoctoral internship at VA Hudson Valley Health Care System in Montrose, New York, where she primarily treated veterans with PTSD, substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety. She also worked as part of the dialectical behavior therapy consultation team and performed neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Rendell's research in the areas of social and cognitive influences on nutrition, obesity and eating disorders has been published in Current Obesity Reports and Abdominal Imaging. She graduated from Ferkauf's Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) Program in 2014 with a minor in Neuropsychology. 

Michelle Lent Rosenbaum

Dr. Lent’s program of research focuses on the psychosocial aspects of obesity prevention and treatment. After graduating from Ferkauf in 2012, she completed a National Research Service Award (F32 post-doctoral fellowship) at the Center for Obesity Research and Education of Temple University. Her research interests include surgical and cognitive-behavioral treatments for adult obesity, community-based pediatric obesity treatments, addictive eating behaviors, and urban consumer food and beverage purchasing patterns. 

Michele Kofman

Michele Kofman, PhD, MPH is a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York City.  A focus of her clinical work is in the treatment of overeating, binge eating disorder and bulimia nervosa.  Dr Kofman has served as the Director of the Group Behavior Therapy Program at Rockefeller University where she oversaw the design and implementation of psychological and behavioral interventions as part of a study of the natural history of obesity.  She has also served as a Senior Therapist at the Columbus Park Collaborative, Eating Disorder Day Treatment Center in New York.  Dr Kofman’s research on binge eating and maladaptive eating patterns following bariatric surgery has been published in Obesity and the International Journal of Eating Disorders.  Dr Kofman is a 2007 graduate of the Clinical/Health Psychology Program at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University.
